Captain’s Share

I’ve been trying to notify the email list since Friday, but apparently I’m still having problems reaching all the addresses on the list. I’ll be sending out another message today. My apologies for those who’ve received all the messages but I’m really at a loss. All I can do is tweak and try again.

[EDIT: The first email test crashed and burned. I’m setting up a new server and we’ll try again. 8:41AM MDT]

The real news!

Book Five of the Share Series by Nathan Lowell
Captain’s Share
Captain’s Share is now available on Kindle and should make an appearance on both Nook and Kobo shortly.

[EDIT: Captain’s Share is now available as a NookBook! – 9:31MDT]

Owner’s Share is with the editor and I’m going to get that turned around as soon as I can. October is more likely than September so plan accordingly.

In the meantime I’ll be:

– Recording Zypheria’s Call for Podiobooks.
– Editing South Coast for release in September.
– Getting to work on print versions.
– Starting on the last book of the first Tanyth Fairport trilogy.

There’s a few odds and ends of work I need to do as well–fix up the ebook for Zypheria’s Call, record some short pieces, and turn in some voice acting lines.

It’s shaping up to be a busy–and productive–fall!

  1. I finally got your email yesterday… by which time I was nearly finished reading Captain’s Share. It was definitely worth the wait!

My only regret is this is winding down. I have loved this universe. I will regret it when I have finally concluded reading Owner’s Share.

    1. Well, Owner’s Share is only the end of the series.

It’s hardly the end of the universe. I’ve got a lot of stories to tell yet.

      1. Nathan, Captain’s Share was great! I was so happy to see it was out. I can’t wait for Owner’s Share. And YES – I’d love to read more stories from this universe. Keep writing! 🙂

      2. Of course I will always look forward to any of your work… so I’ll look forward to whatever comes!

  2. Nathan, Thank you. I listened to all your books of pod casts over a year ago with my wife. Though we both like different catagories of books (she likes mysteries, I like SciFi), we both loved all your books. Recently I was getting tired of the book I was trying to read on my Kindle when I recieved your email about about Captains Share being out. I had bought and loved Zypheria’s Call when it came out as well as A Light in The Dark, but not any of your other books. So last night I resolved to start over again, this time on the Kindle. I bought Quarter Share, and got sucked right in. I just finished it tonight and bought Half Share. I forgot what real, engaging writing was like. I will be buying every one of your books, and hopefully with many more to come. So again, Thank You and please keep, them coming.

  3. Captain Dellman and Mr Maloney deserve each other!
Enjoyed the book and looking forward to the next. Thank you.

  4. Every time I read one of the Solar Clipper series’ books I find myself wishing I could live in that universe, sign onto a clipper, and take off into the deep dark on the watch standing merry-go-round. I think that’s a sign of a story well told. I just finished Captain’s Share and am waiting patiently but anxiously for Owner’s Share. Thanks for creating this universe for your readers to enjoy! Bravo Zulu!!!

  5. Do you have a real life inspiration for “Frank’s Finest”? If you do I’d like to go there and try them! 8^D

  6. I have read a lot of sci-fi over the decades…this series is one of my all-time favorites…I love your upbeat view on the nature of man and the possibilities found in second chances. I have a technical question about proofreading for kindle books…I have read forty or fifty books over the last year and they universally seem to come with more typo errors than I remember ever seeing in the past. I would think that these types of books would be the easiest to fix since you would not necessarily have to wait until a next addition to do so. Do you have any thoughts as to why this would be so? Thankfully I am a history teacher and not an English teacher or this could have severe psychological implications. I would report them all to the spelling police, but I don’t have their address and I might never actually finish my next batch of books…….

  7. Maybe a good thing Owner’s Share is a bit away, I’ve been so absorbed I’ve done little else the last few days! I’m finding myself inexplicably craving flakey biscuits and breakfast at the Over Easy….

  8. just finished Double Share. My biggest regret is that there are only two more books in the series – these go on the short list of re-readable books for me.
