Fall Update

Those who follow my daily rambles know that this year has been particularly hard. Between my own ills and dealing with the illnesses around me, we’ve had a lot of hospital time here at the mothership.

I still have eight books on my to-write list and the two new Tanyth books to narrate. If I allow myself to contemplate that pile, I get overwhelmed but looking at each project in turn fills me with excitement. I just need to get my head out of my butt so I can get both of them moving in the same direction.

Recent developments (which I can’t disclose for HIPPA reasons) make me believe it’ll be a very happy holiday season for me – the reality of which will have a significant effect on you all as well.

Thanks for hanging in there with me.

  1. Great news, Skipper. Keep up the health, it’s the only one you get, and when you can, write us one word at a time. Thanks for all your fantastic works!

  2. Sending you good thoughts. You are one of the best, so you are worth waiting for. I am simply hoping that good health for you and yours comes back to you – it is more important than pleasing your many fans. Best wishes, (a recently retired…trying to find the time to write) B. H. Giza

  3. Glad to hear things are on the mends! I’ll patiently await for your new works and thank you for all that you’ve put out so far. I’ve been re-listening to Trader’s Tales the past couple of weeks. Still enjoy the stories wholeheartedly and look forward to new ones.

  4. Please get well soon, my prayers are with you, your family & friends.
I truly enjoy your style of writing and narration. I love the way you make ordinary people the hero.
Have you concidered the solar clipper series turned into film.
Your stories have provided me many hours of entertainment while on the road and the end of every chapter leaves me wanting for more.
Thank you sincerely for sharing your gift with us

  5. thoroughly enjoyed your Solar Clipper Series! my best to you and yours.
continued success, health, and joy to you and yours… 🙂

  6. Sending you positive vibes. Take care of yourself and those you love — that’s what’s truly important.

  7. What out for pirates Captain, and remember the winds are more stable above and below the ellipse.

  8. Nathan, if you aren’t yourself one of the paid care-givers or associated with the insurance provider, you are not covered under the Privacy Rule of HIPAA. Better to say you just don’t want to air your family’s laundry.

  9. Hi Nathan, yes I know the familiarity doesn’t really exist, but after listening to you for so long as you’ve effused your characters and tales, you feel like an old friend.

As I pass my own half century I bare witness to the ails that become ever more frequent hindering. Well hope your feeling better and not in any discomfort. Don’t press yourself too hard and, chip up!

  10. More now!!!! Who cares about your health. All I want is more solar clipper novels. Please get better soon im still hurting from robert jordans death.

  11. I love your solar clipper series. I’m sorry your health is interfering with your plans. But this request might be simple. I wish your books were available on audible so I could listen while I try to get my steps in on fitbit 🙂

    1. All the Solar Clipper books are available as free audio downloads from the iTunes music store .. or direct from podiobooks.com

They were all available in audio years before the text versions.

      Enjoy.

      1. I know. But I can’t seem to get them onto my iPod. I don’t mind dragging my Kindle around walking in cold weather but it doesn’t fit in warm -weather pockets. I’ve downloaded through iTunes as far as my desktop but it doesn’t sync. Thank you for answering. I know I would have to pay through audible, but I could get it onto my iPod.

        1. Plug your ipod into the computer and drag them IN?

Syncing iTunes to an iPod *should* be completely transparent. It’s the only real reason to use an iPod.

          I don’t get it.

But no… the books will probably never be on Audible. It’s … complicated.

  12. I’ve tried both of those and thought it was working…it looked as if it worked. But it didn’t show up on the iPod. I have one more idea to try.
I hope you are feeling better!
