Zypheria’s Call

Sometimes the longest journeys are within.

Tanyth takes passage on a ship to make her way to Gertie Pinecrest. Storms and ice block her path, but her most serious enemies may be people she has never met.

As her power grows, she must come to grips with the changes within her and wrestle the fear that she is going mad.

To accomplish that she must answer Zypheria’s Call … and survive.

  1. Hello, thanks for your books, it’s a great pleasure!

I had purchase Ravenwood at Smashwords, but they have not Zypherias. Is it only a question of time or are you selling this one only in the impossible kindle format ?
My ereader (and also my PC) are all with linux and don’t accept DRM format. Please tell me you think also publish in epub !

And sorry for my bad english. I read easier than writing

    1. At the moment it is only available in a DRM free format from Amazon. The Kindle version has been specifically encoded to be DRM free. (I’m taking it on faith that Amazon actually publishes DRM free content when the DRM flags are explicitly disabled.)

It will probably never be available through smashwords (unless/until they upgrade the sausage grinder that does the conversions). At some point, I’ll offer the book thru my own bookstore.

  2. I really enjoy listening to your books and the inflictions you place on your characters. Will this book be placed in podiobooks with the rest of your books??

    1. Yes. It’s on the list of things to do.

Sorry I left it off the plan 🙁

I will do it before I write anything new.

      1. Fantastic news! I was getting worried we might not get to hear them! I know how to read and all, but “they” generally frown on reading while driving or working equipment.

  3. I do not own a Kindle. As I don’t care for Amazon’s huge presence in the industry I will never purchase a Kindle. I also don’t like how restrictive the Kindle device is compared to alternatives. I’m also very happy with my Kobo ebook reader. I would really, really like to purchase your books in a non Amazon format.

    1. You’ll be able to buy all my books from the Kobo store before the summer is out.

  4. I have listened to the podcast of Ravenwood and have enjoyed it,, was looking for the next part of this, was hoping to find it on Itunes, when will you have a download of it there. thanks

  5. I have enjoyed listening to your books before and was wondering how the Audio production was going.

  6. Hi, loving the podiobook, really glad to see that by the time I finish listening to Ravenwood, I will have you next edition ,#fingers crossed#.

Really enjoy your reading voice and intonation, being British some Americans accents can be a touch grating. As I am sure some would say of ours!
But your voice soothes me off into a magical story that fills my dreams.

    Thanks Sam

    1. I’m still working on the audio for Zypheria’s Call and Hermit of Lammas Wood.

      They’re getting closer 🙂

  7. I’m trying to figure out the order of the Tanyth Fairport books and whether or not the they are all available in audio. 🙂 I LOVE LOVE LOVE your works!

    1. Ravenwood
      Zypheria’s Call
      Hermit of Lammas Wood.

Only Ravenwood is available in audio at the moment. I’m planning on getting the others done as well. 🙂

  8. I’m still waiting on the paper book version of this series. I know you had hoped to have them available by this fall (now). How is that going?

    1. I didn’t get the promised shipment today.

I’ve got all the books converted to paper. I just need to get the galleys reviewed and corrected before I release.

Pictures as soon as UPS delivers.

      1. I’m sorry I know your very busy with all your book, but any update on possible release for the Podiobook?

        1. Won’t happen this year. It’ll probably be several months yet.

I’ve got to get more paying projects in the pipeline to be able to afford the time to do audio.

  9. Hi Nathan I just finished Ashes and it is awesome. I wanted to purchase some of your other books for my kobo but this one doesn’t seem to be available in the Kobo store. Can you illuminate if I will be able to buy it there in the future or if I’m stuck reading it in kindle format. Thanks for all your great work, I am so excited for your next book.

      1. Thanks for the explanation and it makes total sense to me. I want to see you make a living at this so I can keep reading/listening to your books! At least, I can read your books on my phone through the kindle app (it is a little hard on the eyes, but oh well). I’m doing my best to promote your books as recommendations on goodreads and to my friends. I would love to see some of you books turned into a TV series.

        1. The books shouldn’t be DRMed so you *could* run them thru Calibre and convert them to epub … just sayin’

  10. Thanks for your time invested in audio books. My wife and I are truck drivers and spend considerable time listening. Your Traders tales are a favorite. I amon my 3rd go around this year. Same with your other works in audio! You are keeping us safe, awake and entertained.

    Warmest regards
    Peter and Dennise

  11. Hi Nathan, love your work. I really got into your stories through podiobooks, and now I have paper copies of almost every one at home. I understand the need to prioritize lucrative projects, especially when it is such time-consuming work. But in all honesty, I would be more than willing to pay extra for the audio version, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who feels that way.
Either way I’m really looking forward to being able to listen to the whole series eventually.

  12. It’s December 2016 & im a new convert having listened to all the trader tales, a shamans tale & ravenwood.
Is there anywhere I can listen to an audio version of zypherias call & the 3rd one in this series please. Love your work & your narration

    1. Not at the moment, Trey. I’m working on it. I won’t be reading them but next year should see some movement.

  13. Is there any way to buy the audio version of these books? I was very impressed with your narration on the Ishmael Wong series; I thought the narration on those was better than the commercial narration on the Blackstone Audio versions of novels by Lois McMaster Bujold, Larry Niven, Orson Scott Card, etc. Your writing is also good, but it’s the narration in particular I was looking forward to.

    1. Sorry, Jonadab.

At the moment they’re not available in audio at all. I have found it nearly impossible to record these days which is why I licensed the Ishmael books to Podium.
