Day 2338: Apologies

I butchered the lyrics to Science Fiction, Double Feature. Mea Culpa.

I talked too much about E E “Doc” Smith’s Triplanetary and 1930s science fiction.

A couple of bookends for E.E. “Doc” Smith’s timeline:

    1930: Pluto discovered
1939: Robert A. Heinlein’s first published story, “Life-Line,” comes out.

You mentioned Burroughs – – his books were immensely popular, particularly the Tarzan books, and the Tarzan films starring Johnny Weissmuller began in 1932.

      Thanks for the added context.

I probably spent too much time looking things up about that time frame this morning and found a lot of it fascinating.

But I think I need to find a different classic for July. 😀
