I am enjoying the pen talk.
Ink based magic is part of Kevin Hearne “Ink & Sigil” series. The other series with magic around books, thus ink, is Genevieve Colman’s “Invisible Library”. Not specially ink based but magic with books.
For pen & ink magic, try Bibliomancer by Dakota Krout. It’s LitRPG and lives in his Completionist Chronicles universe. It’s more like book magic and revolves around crafting spells ahead of time with magic paper & ink then tearing out pages of spells in combat.

As for ink magic, check out Ink Witch by Lindsay Sparks. I can’t guarantee that it’s Indie, but it’s priced like one. Cool ink magic as I recall.
