Re: Parker 41 drying out. Some pens need daily use to prevent this issue. In the Nero Wolfe mysteries by Rex Stout, part of the daily routine observed by Wolfe’s assistant Archie Goodwin was to fill Wolfe’s desk fountain pen, which would forestall nib drying issues.
The pen talk is enjoyable. I have a friend who used to make lovely pen bodies as a hobby.
