Talking of chicken curry, my absolutely favourite chicken curry recipe is Nigel Slater’s Creamy, Colourful, Fragrant Chicken Curry from his Real Food cookery book . It’s also very good made with quorn fillets if you are cooking for vegetarians.
The recipe seems to have disappeared from the Guardian’s web site but I found it in a forum posting at . As Nigel says in his book, it’s serious unauthentic (the creme fraiche) but absolutely delicious, “The colours will be vivid. The smells will be great. It will be yellow, green and red. Like a Howard Hodgkin.”
