Still improving. Just not as fast as I’d hoped.
I’m not getting the exercise I need to rebuild my stamina. It’s my own damn fault and I own it.
I’m eating more. Not sure about the nutritional value but I’m getting all my calories by mouth instead of tube.
I’m writing more. The chemo brain fog keeps clearing a bit more each day.
I’m still determined to get TOMMW back on the sidewalk. I just don’t know when that will happen. Sorry.
🎉🎉🎉
No need to apologize. It’s just how life goes. We are all glad you are on there mend and especially that you’re writing again. The rest comes with time.
I miss your rambling, but the books brought me here. If you’re making progress there than that’s fantastic.
All the best to you and yours this holiday season and have a happy and healthy new year.
We are all behind you Nathan. Keep healing, eating, writing and game playing.
Nathan it takes time. My husband went thru chemo and radiation if the throat and it was awful. To build muscle you need 90 grams of protein daily…that’s what the oncology dietician told us. He ate what he could and we supplemented him with chocolate Boost m..not the regular Boost but the one that has 30 grams of protein per container. I kept a nutrition record of calories, grams if protein and fluids/day. You also need to get at least 2000 cc’s of water per day. This will help flush out the toxins. With patience I kno you can do it! He had to use a walker at first and we did laps around the house because his balance was poor. I am sure you can get physical therapy. It helped give us structure and guidance. They also kept records so he could see his improvement. Have a great Xmas and know the New Year will bring good things!
Nathan
Sounds like you’re making progress. Stay w it. Love you Solar Clipper series. I’ve listen to it at least three times. Work is a great healer. Ishmael is waiting. We are waiting. Exercise body and mind. That’s the key.
A Real Fan,
Tom
Very best wishes for Happy, Prosperous, productive (yeah, I’m selfish), disease free and just totally awesome New Year! So very very happy to have you still with us. Looking forward to (vicariously) sharing many more morning walks. Be well, live long and prosper.
