Fall Update

Those who follow my daily rambles know that this year has been particularly hard. Between my own ills and dealing with the illnesses around me, we’ve had a lot of hospital time here at the mothership.

I still have eight books on my to-write list and the two new Tanyth books to narrate. If I allow myself to contemplate that pile, I get overwhelmed but looking at each project in turn fills me with excitement. I just need to get my head out of my butt so I can get both of them moving in the same direction.

Recent developments (which I can’t disclose for HIPPA reasons) make me believe it’ll be a very happy holiday season for me – the reality of which will have a significant effect on you all as well.

Thanks for hanging in there with me.

Still Alive

You might be hard pressed to prove it based on my visibility lately, but I’m still alive.

The last couple of months have been trying. Mostly I’ve been trying to get my head above water – and failing. An adjustment to my medications went awry and I’m only now beginning to find my balance again.

In August I need to get Cape Grace finished because I’ve an editor on standby for September 1. I’ve paid the deposit and if I don’t get the book done, there will be some significant consequences. It’s not like there aren’t consequences anyway but you probably get my drift.

Thanks for the supporting comments and well-wishes. I hope I’ve turned a corner and – starting tomorrow – things will begin to get back on track.

Of course, I’m notoriously optimistic about this stuff…

May Day

I missed the last few updates so…here goes:

20140501_085520
The last half of March had way too much red on it. Working on paperbacks is a “tough job” for me and I’m easily distracted.

On the plus side, I crossed off two of the open audio projects and I’ve got no more outside jobs (other than the odd drop in line for a project that was supposed to be completed by now).

20140501_085543April was a bit better There’s more blue and I actually finished up the galley for Full Share. It should be available at Amazon now.

Most of the month was one problem after another. Between being sick, having technology issues on the morning walk, and all the other interruptions to my well ordered existence, it wasn’t the best month.

On the plus side, I’ve gotten a new keyboard that I love. I’m working on new stories — and some old ones — and I’ve put aside the paperbacks for the time being. It’s time I got back to having a bit of fun with writing.

So, hurray, hurray.
The first of May.
Outdoor .. um … writing (yeah, outdoor writing!)
Starts today!

Safe voyage and thanks for your continued support.
