October Surprise

Not that there’s any surprise in October but more that I’m surprised it’s October already. Sheesh.

So I got the Lois McKendrick Omnibus (Trader’s Tales 1-3) out but haven’t gotten anything else done.

By Darkness Forged is in the word processor but it hasn’t gelled yet. I’m still noodling.

My goal for the month is to get this off the dime and rolling. I’ve had two releases this year and wanted four. I have time to get a third one out but only if I can get this story flowing.

Stay tuned.

Happy Birthday, Ishmael

Today will be Ishmael Wang’s birthday in the future.  To celebrate I released the latest Smuggler’s Tale a couple of days ago. That’s the last of them, at least for now. It’s not the end of Natalya and Zoya. We’ll see them again in the future.

This month I’m getting on track to get the next Seeker’s Tale out. I’ve already started scoping out By Darkness Forged and I’m aiming for a very short turn around. How short depends on a lot of things so I’m not going to give out any dates other than “as soon as I can make it happen.”

Also tap this month are two long-overdue projects.

  • An omnibus edition of the first three “Share” books. I don’t expect fans to re-buy them but I wanted to help new fans catch up by making those three titles into a single book for the KU folks.
  • The paperback version  of To Fire Called.

Audio is still in the pipeline. It’ll be coming. I just don’t know when.

And with that, raise a mug of whatever you’re drinking to the fictional character of the hour, Captain Ishmael Horatio Wang.

See you next month, crew.

Safe voyage.
