I’ve been chipping away at this, letting some of the ideas I’ve hatched find their way onto the page. Some of them will stay.

What Am I Reading?
I burned through a lot of samples, spend some time catching up on next-in-the-series but haven’t found anything that really grabbed me except for this quirky litRPG series by Andrew Karevik – Henry’s Harbor.
So, typical isekai set up. Guy dies. Gods intervene. He’s plonked into an RPG adventure complete with stats, classes, and all the rest. Yes, I’m a sucker for these things and read a lot of Karevik (including his entire 8 volume CivCEO).
The writing is clear, the story lines fun and logical, the characters well defined. A bit crunchy (lots of stat charts and skill lists) but easily by-passed. The series kept me reading past my bedtime too often.
But don’t take my word for it. If you like this kind of story, maybe grab a sample and see what you think.

Looking Forward
I’ve been writing almost every day now. Occasionally, I run out of time before I get into the words. That’s a big change from last month. The ideas that have been percolating are now free to roam the page. I’ve had some slow starts and some false ones. It’s like I’m a toddler, just learning to walk again. I fall on my butt a lot and need to get back up.
So I wind up writing some, deleting some, writing some more.
Yes, I’m being fussy. Maybe too precious.
But the story has to work for me, before I can convince you that it works for you.

I found you through the Wizard’s Butler and Wizard’s Cat books, and just absolutely devoured the Tanyth Fairport adventures. Thank you for such wonderful characters and worlds!!! I’m hoping with my whole heart for more of Tanyth’s adventures and tickled to know there’s more to come in the Wizard’s series! And whole other worlds to explore in the meantime.
Loved the Wizard’s Cat, it surpassed expectation and I eagerly await (no pressure) the next installment. Also will be perfectly happy to one day run about with Tanyth again!

Wizard’s Cat was a tease. I need a new book. I see a side adventure away from the house as they research the necklace. Molly will obviously need to feed the cat and end up helping him track the imps.
