Belated Groundhog

Sorry! The month snuck up on me and I forgot.

I spent last month working on a story which will get published in an anthology. That should be out later this week or early next. It’s a story I’ve been working on for over a month and finally got tuned in the way I wanted just a day before the deadline. Watch for news in the usual channels. No, I’m not going to tell you what the name of the anthology is. Yet. 🙂

Milk Run – the first of the Smuggler’s Tales – has taken on new life. Finishing the origin story so I have an anchor has given me a huge leg up on that book. Some of what I’ve written so far might get used but I’m loving where the new book is going.

Yes, I know you want more Ishmael. I can’t give you Ishmael until I get this Smuggler story done so I know what Ishmael finds when he takes the Chernyakova out of the yards. Just the way it goes.

Podium has selected Jeffrey Kafer as the narrator on the new audiobook editions of the Ishmael Wang stories. I’ve known Jeffrey and his work for a long time. I was surprised to learn he’d signed up for the job, but pleased that we’re getting the work moving again.

That’s it for now.

Safe Voyage.

  1. Trust me folks, the little bit of Milk Run I heard at COSine will make the wait worth it. I am so excited to meet these new characters and hear of their adventures.

  2. So glad to hear the news. Anxiously waiting for anything of yours in print. It takes me to such a realistic universe, thanks!

  3. It is good to hear you have become a smart or wise PHD instead of the normal idiot PHD. Your original plan was too aggressive on release dates. Hopefully it was idiot publishers and/or overly optimistic dreaming on your part All of us that read your books would rather have you remain both mentally and physically healthy with enough time to write well. Better to over estimate time to write before you put publishing dates on line and surprise us on early release dates

  4. your story “exile” is already out in “starbound” on amazon kindle – i purchased it on 2-6-15 – thanks

  5. Hmm – I’ve read a few of your books and they’re ok if you’re in your young teens – what is the compelling reason to actually pay to read any of this?

    1. For you, Trev, clearly no reason at all. There are a lot of popular books that don’t speak to me, either. I’m good with that.

Thanks for giving them a try. Might I suggest Ryk Brown or perhaps B V Larson? Good solid, three-act structure, shoot-em-up, space explosions, very popular in the military and space opera categories.

I’ve been enjoying M C A Hogarth’s work lately and you might enjoy the Prince’s Game series which starts with Even The Wingless.
