Flood Waters…

If you’ve seen the news, you’ve seen the flooding that’s surrounding my home. We have not suffered any damage personally, but people all around the area are still trying to find missing loved ones, to say nothing of assessing the damages. Roads are gone. Houses are gone. Crops are destroyed. Simple things like getting an automobile repaired will be taking days instead of hours because major highways connecting cities have been taken out. Getting a part from Denver this week isn’t as easy as it was last week.

In theory I’ve got a book coming out in October. I need to get the edits back and get them into the files. With the disruption across the state, that may not happen as expeditiously as we’d all like. I haven’t heard from my editor (another Colorado resident) but I’m assuming we’ll get moving as soon as we’re able.

Stay tuned and I’ll keep you posted as the situation develops.

    1. If the books are a little delayed so be it, taking care of your home, your family and your friends and neighbors comes first. It is a terrible tragedy what is happening in Colorado and my heart goes out to all, houses and things can be replaced, harder to lose the pictures and memories but life is most important. Hugs and prayers to you all.

  1. Glad to hear you are safe. Stay put! Our family lived through similar times in June when floods hit Alberta. I hope your community can band together and be strong together.

  2. Nathan,

I too am a Colorado resident and I am very glad you are safe. We’ve got a couple of roads down here washed out, I’m near the Waldo burn scar, but it’s nothing compared to what happened in your neck of the woods. You take care and I hope things get cleaned up quickly. I look forward to many more of your books, I’ve been listening since 2006.
