Mid Year

Halfway through the year and I’m not exactly burning up the pages. Still, there’s progress.

By Darkness Forged is finally out in paperback. (Pay no attention to the text in the URL. I have no idea why my paperbacks keep getting linked to YUNY clothing products.)

Cape Grace is finally coming together. I’m still struggling to get the missing bits put in but the 73,000 words I have now seem to be the right ones.

The Smuggler’s Tales are still in the queue at Podium. It’ll be a few weeks yet before they’re out.

Tanyth’s audio is still not back. No word on when those books will get released in audio.

I’ve had some health issues this month, but – with luck – those are behind me. My mood’s improved as I’ve been hitting the bricks hard this month. This morning’s walk was 100 miles for the month – my two mile morning walk/podcast and a two mile treadmill walk in the evening. I missed a few days in June, but I’m getting into the groove for July.

Wish me luck!

The next one goes out on July 15th.

  1. Just finished “Trader’s Tales”. Wow, so many ideas for fan-fiction! I loved the story. Thank you so much for putting it out as a podcast! I am going to buy “Smuggler’s Tales” and “Seeker’s Tales”, but it might take me awhile to get through them.

I have “South Coast” and “Ravenwood” waiting in my podcast list. Looking forward to those.

Hope your health is much better!

  2. Hi Nathan,

I read a lot, sometimes 3 at a time. The genres cover a pretty wide gambit, from Robert Ruark to Stephen King to Terry Pratchett to you. I cannot put my thumb on your style, which is a good thing in my opinion, but there is a something that’s just… right. I have found that when things are challenging, your books just hit the right chord with me. I have read them all, most of them several times, and have listened to those that are available on audio. Keep up the great work, you are very much appreciated.

    1. In honor of “By darkness forged” hitting audible I’ve rerun through quarter share to current.
Cant wait for the smugglers to hit audible, will just have to read them on kindle again.
Thanks for the effort, creativity and story.

  3. For what it’s worth, Nathan, your nudge is not strictly accurate — I’m signed up, and I get the newsletters. But I still get the notice in the sidebar _on this machine_. That’s because I used a different computer to sign up. And it’s apparently computer (and I suspect browser) specific. I’m guessing you drop a cookie? IAC, for those of us who have multiple computers we use regularly, we have to sign up from each one or see the annoying sidebar.

I confess, I’m quite looking forward to Cape Grace. I’ve been hearing about it, and wanting it, for a few years now, and I’m pleased that you’re making progress. Hopefully the health issues will go away, or at least stay quiescent for a bit.
