Come Back To Life

So we’re off to a slow start but the website(s) are coming back to life.

Bear with us while we work out our differences with Google, but the site has been fumigated (and I’ve unloaded a metric buttload of old content from past lives).

I’ll be clearing up more stuff over the next few days but we *should* be back. Mostly.

  1. Yeah! Welcome back. It took a bit from the original announcement I got via RSS, but it’s up and available now. Hopefully, this means the total disruption to your working life is also, mostly, over, allowing you to get back to the writing you enjoy. (And that we all very much enjoy the fruits of!)

  2. Yeah, still getting the warning but at least it’s letting me get here now. Never had to do this to a web site, but I’ve had a few nightmares with rootkits and some of the viruses that are incredibly resilient.

And these days it’s quite possibly not the user’s fault, really. Ad streams have been a new culprit. Yeah, I’ve got an ad blocker but that’s got its own issues. And the old tech like Flash is still lingering..

Oh, to return a favor. a book recommendation. The BrainTrust: A Harmony of Enemies. Relatively short-term projection into the future. Available on Amazon.

      1. You’re sure it wasn’t someone plugging in an infected reader/viewer :- ) Next time, use the loaner in the galley :- )

        1. That’s particularly funny because there’s a very good chance it’s actually kinda true.

Google is actually not whining about anything *here*…it’s whining about Bad Stuff on sites that have links here.

We could use Billy, for sure… 🙂

          1. Well, I’m here now.
But seriously… I’m glad website issues are handled. Wife asked me a few days ago names of of the crew from the Lois and was gobsmacked that this site was down.

  3. WHOOP!!!

    NO WARNINGS TODAY.

You musta had Brill make sure all the filters were good, and the matrix fresh.

  4. so glad your backup. I wanted to check something before I passed the link and was really upset to discover malwarebytes would not let me on the site. I will not convert another SF reader to your wonderful books
